One hundred and twenty pregnant women who had underwent in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo transfer (ET) and had placental insufficiency (PI) in its first treatment step received conventional infusion therapy as 3-5 sessions to improve microcirculation in the mother-placenta-fetus system. A control group comprised 20 healthy women with physiological pregnancy. To comparatively evaluate the efficiency of treatment, the study group patients were then divided into 2 groups: 1) 60 women in whom the further PI treatment program involved therapeutic PA sessions in combination with medical ozone (ozone concentration of 0.4 mg/l in 200 ml of isotonic sodium chloride solution); 2) 60 women continued to have complex traditional therapy with simultaneous administration of metabolic and immunomodulatory agents. Maternal and perinatal outcomes were criteria for evaluating the clinical effectiveness of the performed studies. Apgar scores, weight-height ratio, and ponderal index were taken into account when examining the perinatal outcomes. The complex therapy incorporating therapeutic PA in combination with medical ozone in pregnant women after IVF and ET, who had PI, could normalize considerably the values of the plasma component of the hemostatic system, improve the intrauterine fetal status and cardiotocography and Doppler study results, and prolong their pregnancy to the optimal time of delivery.
