Abstract:

The course of labor and postpartum was studied in 63 patients with full-term pregnancy and early amniorrhea without their biological readiness for labor, who underwent delivery by applying the conservative approach and using the antigestagen mifepristone. A control group comprised 67 patients with early amniorrhea who underwent standard delivery 2-3 hours after amniotic fluid discharge. Mifepristone used during delivery at term via conservative management after early amniorrhea without biological readiness for labor was found to reduce the rate of pathologic labor, surgical delivery, fetal hypoxia, and neonatal asphyxia.
