Abstract:

The clinical and laboratory data presented in the present publication characterize the application of the system containing 25% of hydrogen peroxide and activated by a metal-halide xenon lamp designed for professional vital tooth whitening. This study has demonstrated the high effectiveness of the whitening procedure in conjunction with the marked effect of the bleaching agent on enamel permeability, sensitivity of the teeth and soft tissues of the oral cavity. The results of the investigation confirm the necessity of preventive measures for prophylaxis of complications after professional vital tooth whitening.
