Abstract:

The article discusses a methodological approach to personalized prevention of chronic non-infectious diseases in patients with multiple behavioral risk factors (RF), which proposes the concept of preventive counseling based on the identification and assessment of the «leading» risk factor for a particular patient based on a number of individual characteristics: the level of risk of this factor for the patient’s health, as well as the individual’s attitude to the problem associated with the behavioral risk factor (the importance RF of the patient’s health, the patient’s readiness to change behavior in relation to FR, confidence in the ability to change RF). The use of point ratings in calculating the necessary parameters makes it possible to use the approach in the practice of individual motivational counseling to determine an effective strategy for preventive work with a concrete patient who has multiple behavioral risk factors.
