Abstract:

Objective — to study the psychological status of pregnant women with miscarriage in the first trimester. Material and methods. 70 pregnant women (the main group) were examined and treated: 35 patients with threatening abortion and 35 women with miscarriage in history. 30 women with physiologically pregnant pregnancy in I trimester consisted the control group. Results. The conducted study revealed a low motivation for maternity, expressed anxiety about maternity, high conflict in the psychological status of pregnant women in the main group. Сonclusions. Pregnant women with threatening abortion demonstrated the violations in the psychological unpreparedness to motherhood, which indicate the need for psychological assistance to these women not only to experience the threat of abortion, but primarily to adopt the maternity and maternal role.
