BACKGROUND

The need to identify and analyze topographic-anatomical terms.

OBJECTIVE

Identification and analysis of topographic-anatomical terms contained and absent in the International Anatomical Terminology.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

Lists of topographic anatomical terms on data of literature.

RESULTS

In the article this is carried out the analysis topographic anatomical terms as composite part of International anatomical terminology. It’s showed the significance of topographic anatomical terms as terminological base of topographical and clinical anatomy and the absence of whole line topographic anatomical terms in «International anatomical terminology».

CONCLUSION

All topographic anatomical terms are the part of international anatomical terminology and form the terminological base of topographical and clinical anatomy. This is objective necessity of preparation and publishing of three-linguistic “Russian topographic anatomical terminology” as the addition to International anatomical terminology 2019 (TA2).
