Abstract:

Solid pseudopapillary tumor of the pancreas is a rare tumor with low malignancy potential, occurs more frequently in young women, and has a favorable prognosis. In most cases, the tumor is an incidental finding, less frequently, patients may present with nonspecific symptoms. The radical treatment is surgical removal of the tumor. The final diagnosis is made after morphologic and immunohistochemical examination of surgical material. This article presents a clinical case of a solid pseudopapillary pancreatic tumor that was an incidental finding in a young woman.
