The diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer (BC) were analyzed before and after mammography screening (MS). 38.8% of the patients with BC underwent organ-sparing and reconstructive surgeries that positively affect not only the quality of life, but also motivate for regular screening in all women of the region. MS could decrease mortality rates from 32.7 to 23.0 per 100,000 population (by 29.9%) and increase the proportion of patients with Stages I—II BC by 8.4%.
