The paper describes a clinical case of effective treatment with an alternating ICE – MAID regimen as induction in a patient with disseminated chloroleukemia (myelosarcoma) and with a (cyclophosphan + cytosar) consolidation regimen. Pulsed hormone therapy was performed as preparation for basic therapy on day 0 of each induction cycle. The patient was stated to have complete tumor regression; the progression-free survival was more than 5 years; and the follow-up is being continued. This treatment regimen may be considered as a new promising treatment option in the induction of patients diagnosed with myelosarcoma. Pulsed hormone therapy with prednisolone exerts an antitumor effect, enhances the efficiency of further chemotherapy, and plays an important role in the prevention of acute myeloblastic leukemia.
