BACKGROUND

The clinical experience of using intimate hygiene products based on Solanum tuberosum polysaccharides, ammonium glycyrrhizinate and lactic acid in the form of spray for vulvovaginitis of various etiologies including combined ones have presented.

OBJECTIVE

To assess the effectiveness of intimate hygiene products based on Solanum tuberosum polysaccharides, ammonium glycyrrhizinate and lactic acid in the form of spray in patients with disorders of the microbiocenosis of the vulva and vagina.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The study involved 40 women with complaints of vaginal discharge accompanied by itching. Based on the results of clinical and laboratory examination they were prescribed the therapy in accordance with the regulatory documents in combination with an intimate hygiene product based on Solanum tuberosum polysaccharides, ammonium glycyrrhizinate and lactic acid in the form of spray for 2 months.

RESULTS

The complex treatment carried out both 30 and 60 days after therapy contributed to a statistically significant normalization of vaginal pH (<4.5), a decrease in the number of leukocytes in the vagina, the formation and maintenance of normocenosis, as well as the elimination of viruses in relation to the results before treatment.

CONCLUSION

The results obtained demonstrate a high clinical and laboratory efficiency of the intimate hygiene products usage based on Solanum tuberosum polysaccharides, ammonium glycyrrhizinate and lactic acid both as a complex therapy of patients with microbiocenosis disorders with combined viral infections and in monotherapy for the prevention of microbiocenosis disorders and reactivation of viral infections in anal-genital area.
