Abstract:

We conducted a comparative, controlled, parallel-group, open-label study of 60 patients with chronic actinic dermatitis (CAD). Patients’ dermatological life quality index (DLQI) and its decrease were estimated. Control group patients (30) received conventional treatment and study group patients (30) were administered with anxiolytic Adaptol — tetramethyltetraazabicyclo-octandion (500 mg TID for 12 weeks) along with conventional treatment. Quantitative indices of treatment efficacy were calculated, which is a characteristic feature of this study.
