Abstract:

The paper gives the results of topical treatment with Argosulfan cream 2% in 47 patients with persistent wounds of various etiologies. With the combination treatment, complete epithelization of trophic ulcers occurred in 10 (41.7%) of the patients with chronic venous insufficiency, endarteritis obliterans, or necrobiosis lipoidica; partial regression was seen in 14 (58.3%). The signs of pyoderma resolved in 7 (87.5%) patients and considerably reduced in 1 (12.5%). In tylotic eczema resolution, palmar and plantar fissures were epithelized in all 15 (100%) patients. Argosulfan cream in combination therapy for persistent wounds turned out to be highly effective, well tolerable, and easy-to-use.
