Abstract:

In patients with severe recurrent infectious lesions of the right heart, one of the alternative options for bioprosthetics is implantation of mitral allograft (donor heart valve) into tricuspid valve position. The authors present successful implantation of mitral allograft into tricuspid valve position in a patient with active infective endocarditis of tricuspid valve and high risk of prosthetic endocarditis.
