Mitral valve disjunction is a specific anatomical anomaly associated with mitral valve prolapse and characterized by separation of mitral annulus and left atrium wall from basal posterolateral LV wall. The authors present surgical treatment of 2 patients with myxomatous degeneration and mitral valve disjunction, whose postoperative period was complicated by severe heart rhythm disturbances.
