Abstract:

Coronary fistula is a pathological connection between one or more of the coronary arteries and cardiac chamber or great vessel. Congenital coronary fistulas are rare conditions and frequently diagnosed as an incidental finding prior to cardiac surgery for another reason. Enlarged and wavy fistula from circumflex coronary artery with drainage into right atrium combined with severe mitral insufficiency was diagnosed in 51-year-old male using transthoracic echocardiography and selective angiography. Transcatheter closure was excluded due to advanced drainage and mitral insufficiency. So, patient was scheduled for surgical procedure.
