We present the case of the use of electrohydraulic contact lithotripsy to eliminate the impacted of the endoscopic basket in choledocholithiasis. The patient underwent balloon dilatation of the area of dosed endoscopic papillosphincterotomy, the next stage was mechanical lithotripsy, during which the basket was wedged. During the subsequent urgent lithotripsy the stone was fixed with a basket in the distal third of the choledochus with the rupture of the basket cable at the level of the patient’s oral cavity. Peroral digital choledochoscopy with electrohydraulic contact lithotripsy was performed, the stone was destroyed, the basket was removed. The postoperative period proceeded without complications. In our opinion high efficiency and safety of this technique the possibility of maintaining one-stage treatment without expanding the scope of the operation serve as weighty arguments in favor of its use in such cases.
