OBJECTIVE:

To describe a clinical case illustrating the dynamics of long-term structural changes in the gastric mucosa in the absence of treatment and following therapy with alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan.

CLINICAL CASE

A chronological account is presented detailing the diagnosis, treatment, clinical features, and histological findings from gastric mucosal biopsies in a 57-year-old patient, monitored from 2020 to 2025.

CONCLUSION

This clinical case demonstrates the potential of alpha-glutamyl-tryptophan as a course-based therapy for the early and timely management of structural changes in the gastric mucosa associated with chronic autoimmune atrophic gastritis.
