S.A. Goryainov, A.A. Potapov, V.B. Loshchenov, T.A. Savelieva

The monograph presents the results of using fluorescent navigation in brain gliom surgery. General information about the brain glia, modern approaches to the treatment of gliomas, as well as methods of intraoperative neuronavigation and preoperative planning used in modern neurooncology are summarized. The essence of the intraoperative fluorescent navigation method, the results of its use in combination with laser spectroscopy in patients with brain gliomas, including stereotactic biopsy, and the principles of its application are described in detail. Various aspects of combined spectroscopy with simultaneous measurement of fluorescence, oxygenation, blood filling and light scattering are covered. The results of immunohistochemical analysis of fluorescent and non-fluorescent gliomas are presented. The prospects for the development of fluorescent diagnostics in neurosurgery are considered separately.

The monograph contains 152 pages of A4 format with illustrations.
