Abstract:

The article reviews various issues of the interhemispheric asymmetry in normal people in the context of ontogenetic, morphological, neurobiochemical and functional aspects. The significance of this phenomenon in different pathological states of the central nervous system (CNS) is highlighted. Special attention is drawn to the dysfunction of the right and left hemispheres and interhemispheric interactions in normalcy and CNS pathology.
