Abstract:

OBJECTIVE

To analyze literature data and to provide textual and visual description of 6 main clinical tests for diagnosis of subacromial impingement syndrome (SAIS), as well as 4 tests for painful arc compensation.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

We reviewed the PubMed, ResearchGate and e-Library.ru databases regarding data on diagnostic efficacy of the main tests for SAIS.

RESULTS

Summary tables of diagnostic efficiency indicators were compiled for 6 main SAIS tests and clusters of tests. In addition, textual and visual descriptions of diagnostic tests and tests for painful arc compensation are provided.

CONCLUSION

Clinical tests for SAIS complement examination of shoulder joint in clinical diagnosis and subsequent optimal treatment for patients with SAIS.
