Abstract:

The article presents the analysis of the published results of research and studies of the problem of gestational or pregnancy-associated breast cancer. The diagnostic characteristics and medical guidelines for pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period in patients with breast cancer are described. The need for careful monitoring and collaboration between an obstetrician-gynecologist and an oncologist in the management of such patients was emphasized. Mastectomy is a method of choice in cases of pregnancy prolongation. Radiation therapy during pregnancy should be avoided because of the potential risk to the fetus. Systemic chemotherapy is relatively safe only after the start of the second trimester of pregnancy. The possibility of pregnancy prolongation should be decided individually.
