Analysis of recently published works shows that the worse epidemic situation of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, high morbidity rates, and the feminization of the epidemic cause a larger number of infected patients admitted to emergency gynecology hospitals. The effective treatment of this patient group requires a comprehensive multidisciplinary approach. The found features of various types of acute obstetric and gynecological diseases in HIV-infected patients should be taken into account when providing emergency medical care to them. To introduce this approach, a rapid HIV test should be carried out in all patients in need of emergency care. This will be able to perform differentiated treatment in HIV-infected patients. Algorithms are needed to diagnose and treat patients with emergency obstetric and gynecological diseases requiring emergency medical care, by taking into account the course of concomitant HIV infection and the use of highly active antiretroviral therapy.
