Abstract:

The paper gives information on the Forum of Expert Physicians, such as anesthesiologists, obstetricians/gynecologists, nephrologists, and hematologists, on the diagnosis and treatment of thrombotic microangiopathies and atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome in obstetric practice, which was held in Saint-Petersburg on 18 October 2016. The main aspects of the reports made by the leading related professionals: anesthesiologists/resuscitationists (Moscow, Vladivostok, Yekaterinburg), a nephrologist (Moscow), which reveal the issues of differential diagnosis and timely adequate therapy of obstetric thrombotic microangiopathies and atypical hemolytic-uremic syndrome in all their aspects. Particular emphasis is laid on the need for collaborative work of obstetricians/gynecologists, anesthesiologists/resuscitationists, nephrologists, and hematologists. The author declare no conflicts of interest.
