Objective — to estimate the quality of learning a subject improvement cycle using simulation technologies by obstetricians/gynecologists. Subject and methods. The investigation was conducted to compare the data obtained before and after the subject improvement cycle «Clinical Obstetrics (a practical course using delivery simulation platforms and simulators)», which recruited 90 obstetricians/gynecologists. The subject improvement cycle included seminars and workshops on the following topics: basic principles of labor management; management of complicated labor; obstetric operations; obstetric emergency and urgent situations. Test monitoring was carried out during the cycle. Results. The theoretical qualification of the learners, the mean assessment and self-assessment scores of their practical skills were found to be related to the level of a hospital they worked and the length of their service. The total testing of theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the learners revealed that the mean marks on all proposed topics became significantly better. Conclusion. The findings indicate that simulation technologies enhance the efficiency of training of obstetricians/gynecologists. The authors declare no conflicts of interest.
