The study enrolled 150 women of reproductive age (18 to 40 years) with an exacerbation of chronic inflammation in the uterine appendages. A study group comprised 78 women on combination therapy involving transcranial electric stimulation (TES) of brainstem structures. A comparison group included 72 patients receiving conventional therapeutic regimens for this abnormality. Therapeutic efficiency was evaluated from the parameters of general blood analysis and functional enzyme activity in the immunocompetent blood corpuscles that are highly informative integral indicators of the body's state and the presence and magnitude of a pathological process and characterize the intensity and completeness of defensive reactions. The findings suggest that TES therapy is highly effective when used in the combination treatment of patients with an exacerbation of chronic inflammation in the uterine appendages, which is evidenced by the prompter normalization of general blood test values and functional enzyme activity in the immunocompetent blood corpuscles.
