Abstract:

The paper presents the structure of an outpatient obstetrics-gynecology service in Moscow and traces positive trends in its development. It is emphasized that family planning under the conditions of the megapolis is a package of sociomedical measures to reduce morbidity rates and to keep the health of women and children, among which the prevention of artificial abortions and the current treatments for infertility are prominent. The prospects for the development of a family planning service are given.
