Abstract:

The paper presents the results of a study of the associations of HLA specificities with the relative counts of CD4+ and CD8+ Т-cell subpopulations in the peripheral bloods of 142 healthy women and 81 patients with nonspecific inflammatory gynecological diseases (NIGD). A genetic control group comprised 143 healthy women in whom the distribution of HLA was studied in the Europeoid population of West Siberia. The count of CD4+ and CD8+ Т-lymphocytes was measured by flow cytofluorometry. Low CD4+ cell levels were significantly more frequently observed in healthy carriers of HLA-B5, -B13, -B14, -B27 specificities and their high content was in healthy carriers of HLA-A9, -A10, -B13 specificities. Low CD8+ cell levels were present in healthy women, the carriers of HLA-A1, -A10, -B21, -B35, -B40 specificities, and HLA-A2, -B5, -B8, -B13 antigens predisposed to their high level. In patients with NIGD, as in healthy individuals, the specificities of HLA-B14, -B27 were associated with low CD4+ levels and those of HLA-A10, B13 were with their high content. In patients with NIGD, as in healthy individuals, the low content of CD8+ cells was associated with HLA-B21 antigen and their high level was with HLA-A2, -B5, -B13. It is suggested that there is a common mechanism of regulation of CD4+, CD8+ T cell levels.
