Environmental pollution with ecotoxicants in a modern city is an urgent problem.

The aim of our study was to determine the effect of various ecotoxicants on the tooth germ and jaw in laboratory rats, and ways to reduce this effect at perinatal prophylaxis.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

A 50 laboratory rats were involved in the experiment. All animals were divided into 5 groups: control and 4 experimental — against the background of poisoning with ecotoxicants. Rats in the control group received ordinary air around the clock. In the 2nd group used peptinsorbent, in the 3rd group we used a membrane protector — magnolia vine, in the 4th — beets, in the 5th — peptinsorbent, a membrane protector and beets.

RESULTS

In the control group of rats, a morphological picture of normal histogenesis was observed. In the 2nd, there was no complete restoration of the histogenesis of the teeth. In the 3rd group, pathomorphological changes were less than in the previous group. In the 4th group, histologically, signs of destructive processes of odontoblasts and enameloblasts were determined, leading to disruption of the processes of dentinogenesis and enamel formation.

CONCLUSIONS

In case of subchronic poisoning of pregnant female rats with ecotoxicants against the background of using a combined mixture, the structure of the tooth germs is formed relatively better in the subsequently born rat pups than in the control and other experimental groups.
