This clinical and laboratory study included 90 patients presenting with chronic generalized periodontitis of moderate severity. They were treated with the use of domestic hydroxyapatite-containing osteoplastic materials, such as Ostim-100 and Osteoplast-K. Their application was shown to promote the creation of the favourable environment for the effective postoperative wound healing after the surgical intervention on the periodontal tissues. It is emphasized that the results of the study of the microbial landscape in the oral cavity should be used as a criterion for the choice of the osteoplastic material.
