The present study was designed to elucidate the influence of diode laser radiation on the structure of tooth root dentin when used for the endodontic preparation of the teeth for the filling. In addition, the degree of marginal adaptation of the filling material to the walls of the root canal was evaluated with the help of scanning electron microscopy. The study was carried out using vital teeth extracted for medical indications. The laboratory and clinical investigations have demonstrated the high efficacy of the treatment of root channels with the use of diode laser radiation to affect the degree of root filling adaptation. The practical recommendations have been developed for the endodontic treatment of chronic pulpitis.
