Surgical radio wave and coblation techniques have recently played a major role in the treatment of chronic hypertrophic rhinitis.The methods of surgical treatment of hypertrophic rhinitis using the ESG-01-ElePS electrosurgical system are addressed in the article.

OBJECTIVE

To study the results of clinical use of the ESG-01-ElePS electrosurgical system in chronic hypertrophic rhinitis.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The study included 32 patients aged 25 to 42 with hypertrophic rhinitis who underwent radiofrequency coagulation and coblation of the inferior nasal conchae using the ESG-01-ElePS device. In the postoperative period, we assessed the reactive phenomena in the surgical zone using nasal endoscopy and nasal cavity patency using active anterior rhinomanometry.

RESULTS

One month after the surgery, the nasal cavity mucosa has regenerated, and respiratory function has been restored to physiological reference.

CONCLUSION

The study demonstrated the good clinical and functional effect of the ESG-01-ElePS electrosurgical system, which warrants its use in the surgical treatment of hypertrophic rhinitis.
