Abstract:

In the article the critical review of the existing publications devoted to the experience of one-stage surgical interventions on the middle ear and upper respiratory tracts is carried out, the urgency of the proposed approach is grounded, the prospects of using simultaneous otorhinosurgery in children’s practice are analyzed. In the structure of inflammatory diseases of childhood, the first place, both in frequency and significance, are diseases of the upper respiratory tract and hearing organ, including acute and chronic rhinosinusitis, tonsillitis, hypertrophy of pharyngeal tonsils and adenoiditis, various forms of otitis. Treatment of these pathological conditions is often associated with the need for surgical interventions. The high prevalence of ENT diseases in childhood, their impact on the overall development and quality of life of patients, as well as the continuing high demand for surgical treatment, necessitate the study and implementation of streamlined, safer and more effective surgical techniques to achieve better results in a short time and prevent the development of severe complications. Therefore, it is extremely important to find treatment methods and improve the techniques of surgical interventions in childhood.
