Abstract:

The article address the study and discussion of issues related to vocational education and physical training of cadets of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia cadet corps. Characteristics of cadets’ physical fitness were studied to identify disorders and choose ways to change daily routines, including various aspects of physical training.

OBJECTIVE

To assess the physical fitness and labor training of children and adolescents in the cadet corps of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

MATERIAL AND METHODS

The study included 180 cadets from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia cadet corps aged 13 to 16. Housing conditions, training process, and extracurricular activities were assessed using sanitary and hygienic descriptions and research methods. We studied the parameters of body composition, phase angle, and nutritional status characterizing the fitness of students using a bioimpedance analyzer of metabolic processes and body composition ABC-02 «Medass» (SRC «Medass» LLC, Russia) according to the standard scheme using disposable bioadhesive electrodes. The morbidity and health groups of the examined children were determined as physical fitness indicators.

RESULTS

The physical growth of most cadets is age-appropriate and harmonious. Most cadets are in health group I and have normal nutritional status. The training process, housing conditions, and extracurricular activities are optimal for adolescents.

CONCLUSION

In order to monitor the trends of physical growth and fitness of future internal affairs personnel, it is recommended to conduct annual extended check-ups, including bioimpedance analysis of body composition.
