The paper describes the ten-year experience of prophylaxis schools in the health care facilities of the Chuvash Republic. The school work efficiency is suggested by the reductions in admission rates by 5-9%, in the number of patients referred to specialists by 10-12% and in that of emergency calls by 8-10%. In the Republic, mortality due to circulatory and respiratory diseases reduced by 21 and 18%, respectively; overall mortality decreased by 3.5% from 2005 to 2010.
