The effect of the chondroprotector аrtra on the structure of articular cartilage and whether it might be safely used were studied in patients with osteoarthrosis and chronic somatic diseases. Artra was found to exert a positive structure-modifying effect as an increment in articular cartilage height and to show a 2-fold reduction in the risk of gastrointestinal mucosal injuries caused by disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drugs.
