Abstract Objective — to develop and evaluate aesthetic effectiveness of redo mammoplasty in patients with upper rippling of an implant along the décolleté line. Material and methods. An observational study enrolled 74 patients aged 32—56 (mean 35.6±1.6 years) with upper rippling of the implant after previous mammoplasty. Patients have been hospitalized for the period from May 2014 until May 2019. Previous mammoplasty was performed 4—18 years ago (mean 7±1.9 years). All patients underwent redo mammoplasty in accordance with authorial technique. Surgical outcome was evaluated after 18 months considering patient’s satisfaction, objective examination and ultrasound of the mammary glands. Score system was used to assess aesthetic satisfaction of the patient (prior to surgery and 18 months later). Results and conclusion. The authorial method of redo mammoplasty with dissection and hemming of the pectoralis major muscle results favorable aesthetic outcome without signs of recurrent rippling of the upper pole of the breast.
