BACKGROUND

This article is devoted the examination of actual problems in the activity of Russian departments of operative surgery and regional anatomy and ways of its decision.

OBJECTIVE

The assistance for further consolidation and development of departments of the improvement operative surgery and regional anatomy.

RESULTS

There are presented data on history of departments in stages of development, essential problems in activity, the list of measures for improvement.

CONCLUSION

Departments of operative surgery and regional anatomy are important native tradition in system of Russian medical education. Departments need in development and increase of it role in the system on training of modern physician. The conservation of traditional base and introduction of modern contents is the main way for the development and improvement in activity of departments of operative surgery and topographical (clinical) anatomy.
