The state-of-the-art of the problem of bronchial and lung involvement in ACTH-producing neuroendocrine tumors is outlined. Its brief historical background is given; clinical symptoms, instrumental and biochemical diagnostic methods, and basic principles in the treatment of carcinoid disease are described in detail. A clinical case diagnosed with ACTH-producing bronchopulmonary tumor is depicted.
