Quality assurance is a trend in development of Real World Evidence in Russia. Its strategic importance lies in increasing confidence to the real world (RW) studies results and, thereby, their use in decision-making in healthcare. A systematic approach in development, implementation and conduction of RW studies in a company/institution is aimed to ensure the quality of results. Scientific reports are one of the important stages of this new knowledge system. Currently, there are certain regulations and rules in the world for scientific publications in general, clinical trials and non-interventional studies. However, there is no holistic approach for scientific publications of RW studies. Therefore, the purposes of this article are to make the problem actual, define the rules, requirements and processes for planning, implementing and presenting the results of RW studies, as well as develop a systematic approach to ensure the quality of RW studies in Russia. This article is the first publication covering all the key aspects regarding presentation of the results of RW studies. The authors propose a systematic approach in presenting the results and preparing the manuscripts. In particular, they emphasize the following components of publication process: principles and requirements, general plan of publication process, authorship, disclosure of RW studies on public websites, procedure for providing results and useful design tips. This approach can be used by medical community, scientific journals and publishing houses, pharmaceutical companies.
