Abstract:

On the one hand, the two publications in question deal with the laboratory diagnosis of a new viral infection, and let this be our modest contribution to the solution of this burning problem. On the other hand, both texts are related to calculations of two fundamental components of laboratory diagnosis: sensitivity and specificity of laboratory tests.
