The laboratory test results are of the essence in patient treatment and have influence to 60—70% diagnosis’s. As the result, the patient identification errors together with the other preanalytical errors can be the source of many clinical errors: the unnecessary treatment and diagnostic orders, wrong treatment, and wrong clinical decisions, which can create the real threat to patient safety. The integration of patient identification system based on the bar code labeling allows to prevent the patient identification error and to avoid expenses caused by such mistakes in clinical hospital. This also provides such substantial advantages: speed of documentation process, performance optimization and decrease of preanalytical errors.
