Abstract:

Extramedullar pathologies, some of which are skin manifestations, are typical for leukaemias. Lesions can be specific, which represent the infiltration of skin by tumor cells. Unspecified dermatological lesions associated with immune disorders, infectious processes, side effects of chemotherapy and hematopoiesis pathologies are also possible. The article analyzed scientific sources and made conclusions on occurrence rate, classification and clinical signs of leukaemias dermatological manifestations. Skin pathologies are different in myeloblastic and lymphoblastic leukaemias. Moreover, there are features of dermatological symptoms in acute and chronic leukaemias’ course. Skin manifestations are possible in HTLV-associated adult T-cell leukemia-lymphoma and different types of rashes are known in this pathology. Sweet’s syndrome is possible in acute myeloid leukaemia. The conditions of Richter’s syndrome occurrence in chronic lymphoblastic leukaemia were described. Mycosis fungoides is a quite common type of primary T-cell skin lymphomas. Clinical and histological features of dermatological pathology in hairy cell leukaemia were considered. We also found out at what stage of leukaemia dermatological symptoms appear and how they affect the course of this cancer disease.
