Abstract:

A rare squamous cell carcinoma of the vulva in a patient of reproductive age diagnosed by a dermatovenerologist is presented. The risk factors, epidemiology, mechanisms of vulvar carcinoma development, and etiological and pathogenetic features of tumors in persons of reproductive age are addressed. The dermatovenerologist evaluated the history, clinical, and objective examination data, diagnosed the «neoplasm of the vulva», and referred the patient to a special screening examination for sexually transmitted infections that showed types 16 and 18 HPV. The patient was referred to an oncological hospital, where the diagnosis was morphologically verified: squamous keratinizing carcinoma of the vulva. Neoadjuvant polychemotherapy, vulvectomy, and Ducuing surgery on the left side were performed sequentially. Considering the diagnostic, therapeutic measures and analysis of the data obtained, the following diagnosis was made: C51.8. Vulvar cancer, stage III (T2N1M0) after neoadjuvant polychemotherapy (100% tumor resorption) and two stages of surgical treatment (vulvectomy, Ducuing operation on the left side). This case is intended to draw the attention of dermatovenerologists to the issue of vulvar carcinoma in patients of reproductive age, contributing to its early diagnosis in women and timely treatment.
