OBJECTIVE

To study the efficacy of diadynamophoresis of gel based on escin, heparin and essential phospholipids for the treatment of late complications in cosmetology after the contour plastic surgery based on calcium hydroxyapatite drugs injections to correct age-related skin changes of the hand.

MATERIALS AND METHODS

Thirty-four women, mean age 35.7±4.1 years, with complications in the dorsum of the hand after injection of calcium hydroxyapatite-based filler were included in the study. Patients were divided into three groups to receive a local homeopathic ointment based on herbal ingredients, gel based on escin, heparin and essential phospholipids and diadynamophoresis gel based on escin, heparin and essential phospholipids.

RESULTS

Physiotherapeutic method of diadynamophoresis of gel based on escin, heparin and essential phospholipids for the treatment of late complications such as transient edema and local neuropathic phenomena (para- and hypoesthesia) of the dorsum of the hand, following the injection of CaHA-based filler, has a significant clinical effect, reducing intradermal edema, local neuropathic symptoms, stabilizing the psycho-emotional state of patients and improving their life quality.

CONCLUSION

Diadynamophoresis of gel based on escin, heparin and essential phospholipids in late complications (local edema and neuropathy) after the injection of calcium hydroxyapatite fillers to correct age-related changes in the dorsum of the hand is a highly effective, well-tolerated method of treatment, which controls clinical signs of the complications and improves the quality of patient life.
