Abstract:

Aim of the study was to evaluate the clinical efficacy of treatment of children with eczema with 0.1% methylprednisolone aceponate cream with a base containing ceramides. Material and methods. We conducted an uncontrolled open study on the effectiveness of 0.1% methylprednisolone aceponate cream with a ceramide base in the treatment of 30 children with true eczema in the acute stage. The cream was prescribed topically to the foci of inflammation one time per day for 14 days. Results. By the 14th day of therapy, nine (30%) patients showed a significant improvement, 21 (70%) — an improvement in the pathological process. In some patients, in order to achieve clinical recovery after eliminating signs of active inflammation, external moisturizers were attached to the treatment. Conclusion. The preparation of 0.1% methylprednisolone aceponate cream with a ceramide base has high clinical efficacy and can be successfully used in children with true eczema.
