Abstract:

This review describes herpes virus infection (HVI) in the context of psychosomatic disease, provides the scientific data on the role of stressful factors in the development of exacerbation of the process and the impact of the disease on the psycho-emotional state of patients. It is important to provide patients with reliable and the essential information about the disease in order to optimize treatment and prevention of HVI, which results in more efficient control of the disease. This approach can be implemented through the psychiatric rehabilitation programs in the form of training schools for patients.
