Abstract:

The current data on epidemiology and clinical manifestations of skin infections caused by human papillomavirus (HPV) are reported. Physical and chemical destruction methods used in current clinical practice to treat warts are reviewed. Special focus is placed on chemical destruction using medications containing salicylic acid as the most effective, safe, and available wart treatment method. The literature data and data from authors' own studies on effectiveness and safety of Collomack solution in topical wart treatment are reported.
