Abstract:

A case of association of the epidemic form of Kaposi's sarcoma with early latent syphilis in a HIV-infected patient is reported. Dermatological diseases in combination with HIV are characterized by high abundance and more aggressive and malignant course. They are often complicated by secondary infection, are resistant to therapy and require administration of higher doses of drugs and more prolonged therapy. The epidemic form of Kaposi's sarcoma occurs in HIV-infected patients and is a reliable criterion of the presence of this disease in a patient.
