Abstract:

We analyzed data of Russian and foreign studies devoted to modern diagnosis and surgery for improving postoperative outcomes in patients with duodenal injuries. Duodenal trauma is relatively rare. These injuries present a clinical problem due to difficult diagnosis and severe consequences without timely treatment. There is no unified algorithm for diagnosis and management. Early diagnosis of duodenal injuries and early surgical intervention contribute to better outcomes.
