Abstract:

Atherosclerotic lesions of innominate artery in patients with cerebrovascular diseases occur in 0.5—2% of cases and cause brain and upper limb ischemia. To date, most experts consider intrathoracic reconstructions as preferable procedures for such lesions. These interventions provide long-term patency and freedom from neurological deficit. A 28-year follow-up after innominate artery replacement is presented.
